When accessing SharePoint, you will be prompted for a User Name and Password. In the User Name field, your user name must be preceeded by "lsumc-master". See screen shot to the left. After entering your user name and password, click okay to log into SharePoint.

 

Changing an Expired Password

If you have trouble logging into SharePoint, your password may have expired. Passwords must be changed every 30 days or they will expire. Go to the following link to change an expired password:

The intended purpose of the link above is to allow you to unlock and/or change the password to your LSUHSC computer ID. You and Information Security will receive e-mail notification of both successful and unsuccessful attempts to change your password. No one is allowed to use this page to change the password of an ID they do not own.

You will be asked some personal Identification information along with a security question (One of the ones you supplied.). You must answer the question correctly for validation to occur.

Leave the passwords blank if you just want to unlock an account.

The password must contain characters from three of the four categories below:

1.  uppercase letters

2.  lowercase letters

3.  digits

4.  the special characters "@", "#", "$", and "_"

Passwords must conform to ALL of the following standards:

o  The password must be different from the previous 14 passwords.

o  The password must be at least 8 characters long.

o  The first character must be a lowercase or an uppercase letter.

o  Passwords must be changed at least every 35 days, and will remain valid for 35 days.

o  The password must not contain your user ID.

o  The password must not contain any part (e.g., first name) of your name.
